In the matter of the application of CP Crane, LLC for a certificate of public convenience and necessity authorizing the modification of the Charles P. Crane generating station in Baltimore County, Maryland. 

On May 31, 2018, CP Crane LLC filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing a modification to the existing Charles P. Crane Generating Station in Baltimore County, Maryland. CP Crane seeks to modify the existing facility through permanently retiring its existing coal-fired units and installing and operating three primarily natural gas-fired combustion turbines (50 megawatts each, totaling 150 megawatts) and related facilities. Upon completion of the modification, Crane Generating Station’s total nominal generating capacity will be 164 megawatts.

An evening hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the Application will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association - 1124 Bowleys Quarters Road, Baltimore, MD 21220. 

Persons who wish to file written comments are directed to address such comments to Terry J. Romine, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202 and reference “Case No. 9482.” Comments may be filed until April 4, 2019.
